1. Sony Walkman TPS-L2 (1979)

The first Walkman (also branded as the Stowaway, the Soundabout, and the Freestyle before the current name stuck) featured a cassette player and the world's first lightweight headphones. Apparently fearful that consumers would consider the Walkman too antisocial, Sony built the first units with two headphone jacks so you could share music with a friend. The company later dropped this feature. Now, more than 25 years and some 330 million units later, nobody wonders why you're walking down the street with headphones on. Device Select for pre-added size and for custom size you can enter your desired size in Custom Properties. Set screen width and screen height as needed. 

How to Set Network Proxy: You can also set your network proxy in KEmulator. Just goto menu-View- Options... and click on >>2 to see Network option. Here select your Proxy type and set the values for host, port, username, password, domain which was needed. 

Control Buttons: You can control it by your mouse and Numeric Keypad on keyboard. To see key map goto menu-View- Options... and click on KeyMap just next of Custom tab.

The battery is the most important part of a phone and everyone has a question that how to get maximum backup from battery. Its become a big headache if your battery not giving you proper backup. Phone batteries do need to be initialized properly to ensure a full life and best backup. New batteries should always be fully charged before their first use to obtain maximum capacity.

Mostly old batteries are based on Nickel, like nickel cadmium batteries, and they should be charged for a minimum of 16 hours initially and should be run through 2-4 full charge/full discharge cycles. 

The mostly new batteries are lithium ion batteries and they required to be charged for about 5-6 hours, even if the phone says that the battery is full, it should be ignored as it may not be accurate unless the battery has been initialized. Lithium ion batteries should never fully discharge as their life is shortened every they are fully discharged. Instead they should be charged when the battery meter shows that there is only one bar left. 

Almost all cell phones these days come with Lithium-ion batteries, while older ones used to come with nickel-based batteries. To know this you can read the label on the back of the battery or the technical specifications that are present in the manual to find out which kind of battery is present in the phone.
A well known problem with batteries is "memory effect" which only found on Lithium-ion batteries. NiCd or NiMH do not generally suffer from the memory effect. If you end up charging the battery partially too many times, eventually the battery tends to "forget" that it has the ability to charge itself fully. A nickel-based battery which succumbs to the memory effect can be reconditioned, by completely discharging, and then completely recharging the battery. A good way to ensure optimum life for nickel-battery cell-phones is to discharge them completely after a period of two to three weeks. You should also use the charger that is rated for your battery, and should discontinue the use of a charger that regularly heating the battery.

Lava B5 1st Phone with Rupee Symbol in Keypad

Lava B5 is the first Indian mobile phone with rupee symbol in its keypad. Lava Mobile announced Lava B5 mobile phone in India. This handset came to the Indian market with innovative new feature called Alpha keypad. The company states that it is a matter of pride for India to be the fifth nation having a currency symbol of its own. 


The company introduced this keypad, which offers keys arranged in ABCD order, on the basis that still majority of India is not familiar to computers, hence less comfortable with the QWERTY keypads.

Google Chrome 7 is Ready Now!

The Google Chrome 6 Beta has just been made available and Google has already started to work for Chrome 7. Yes Google is has started to cocked the Chrome 7 very fast. The first Chrome 7 builds available in the Chromium repositories. Chromium 7.0.497 is the first build to get a major version. There're are minimal and evolutionary changes from the latest Google Chrome 6.0.490.1 dev.
The Chromium 7.0.497 builds continue the UI revamp with some small bug fixes. Chromium 7 also support for web apps and the Chrome Web Store, slated for launch later this year. Chrome 6 already has support for web apps, but it’s not enabled by default.
Chromium 7 also feature the “click-to-play” functionality for blocked plugins which enabled by default. Other features linked to Chrome OS, which is also slated for a fall launch, should be making their way into Chrome 7 as well. 

Google plans to ramp up the delivery schedule. Google aiming to launch a major stable release once every six weeks rather than three months as is the norm now. We hope that Google Chrome 7 stable should be available at the end of September. Google has just released the Chrome 6 beta but the first Chrome 6 stable release should be coming very soon and which has already seen a small update. And the stable builds for Chrome is still Chrome 5.

According to a survey Android surpass 55 million units worldwide and beat both the iPhone and BlackBerry in 2010, coming within spitting distance of market-leading Symbian. This survey done by Digitmes Research and the figure will give Google’s platform a 19.6 percent unit share of the global smartphone market estimated at 280 million units. This mean one in five smartphones in 2010 runs Google’s Android.

Google Nexus One now available, yet again, for Android devs only

If you couldn't manage to get yourself a Google Nexus One and still want to give it a try, today might be your lucky day. You only need to be a registered Android developer and to have some 529 US dollars in the piggy bank.

As you might have heard, a little while ago Google stopped selling its first own Android-running device online so from that moment on your only option for becoming an owner of the HTC-made Google Nexus One were Google's partners (operators and retailers).

But if there aren't any of those in your neighborhood, you can now go for another option: as of yesterday the Google Nexus One can be purchased from the Android Developers website since the Nexus One has just become the new Android Developer Phones (replacing the elderly ADP 2).
In order to take advantage of that new option, though, you have to be a registered Android developer. If you happen to be one, just log into your Android Developer account and follow the "Development Phones" link. By the way, the Android Developers' Nexus Ones come with the Android 2.1 on board but the ver. 2.2 update is just a few taps away.
The phones sold over there are factory unlocked (and probably rooted) and are priced at 529 US dollars (around 400 euro, so, no news here).

LG Cookie KP500 Sold 10million Units

LG has officially stated that more than 10mln units of the affordable LG Cookie KP500 have been sold to date, so the manufacturer can now happily tick off one of the goals for 2009 they announced at the beginning of April. 
This actually means the Cookie is LG´s fastest selling device at the moment and the fifth handset of the company to hit the 10mln mark, after the successful LG Chocolate, LG Shine, LG KP100 and LG KG270. LG explains the good results with the fact that the Cookie comes with unique features, pertaining to the particular region it´s sold in. For an instance, hockey is quite popular in the Czech Republic and there is a special version of the Cookie for that market with the logo of Prague´s Sparta club on it.
Quite naturally, based on the market success of the LG Cookie KP500, the manufacturer revealed its plans to release the successor to the popular device in 2010. We still don´t have any specific information on the LG Cookie II at this time (we´re just guessing at the name), but we do hope to find out more about it soon an of course, see it at MWC 2010 in Barcelona.
